BABBLE Home Brewers of Lake County Presents: THE MAP
Welcome to The Map, a detailed illustration of all the breweries and brewpubs in the Chicago area. Have questions or comments? Check here first for frequently asked questions and comments.
The markers are color coded as follows;
Brown: No taproom. Brewery only. May have tours but there is no public taproom. Some are not open to the public at this time but may be in the future
Red: Taproom only with no food offerings
Orange: Taproom with packaged snacks like popcorn or microwavable food.
Yellow: Limited menu, such as just pizzas, or maybe two kinds of sandwich. Generally food, but not involving a kitchen.
Green: Full menu of some sort. Maybe not entire restaurant, but there’s enough options here that you don’t have to starve, and they have a kitchen of some sort. In some cases neighboring restaurants will serve through a connection.
A marker with a T in it means that food trucks are a regular occurrence. A marker with an E in it means that food trucks are on site during special events. My information is only as good as their publicity is.
Keep in mind this isn’t a value judgement where we like the food or beer more than others. This is just a guide to help you plan an outing or find a brewery you havent tried yet.
